FDR and World War II
The political issues that FDR and Truman launched during the war and postwar recovery have dominated the political arena for two generations, and may persist well into the twenty-first century. But few people have studied the origins and results of these issues. Therefore, we need a deeper understanding of the presidencies of Roosevelt and Truman, and the effects of their programs, if we are to know the best course to follow.- Burton W. Folsom.
